gateforpagesAn Invitation to Connect: Kol Nidre remarks 5780 by Adina Koch

We are proud of our membership policy that reflects inclusive values. Our suggested dues are 1% of household income, which allows each household to determine an affordable amount, without need to justify. If this is prohibitive, we encourage members to contribute an amount that is personally feasible and meaningful. We value our members for all of their contributions – monetary and otherwise.

Why be a member of Nehar Shalom?

Members have this to say:

– “Nehar Shalom is our Jewish home.  We want to really be a part of this, not
just show up.  We want to honor how much we get personally; to be frank, we’d be a bit lost without it.”

– “I became a member because Nehar Shalom makes me feel connected to
something bigger than myself.  It helps me become a better person. Here, I can feel my heart open and am able to access my truest self.”

– “Nehar Shalom is a safe haven for many and a home to others. It allows you to be who you are and feel supported in where you are.”

How does becoming a member make a difference to Nehar Shalom?

Members are crucial to Nehar Shalom’s ability to survive and thrive.

– Nehar Shalom members support each other through life’s ups & downs.

 – Nehar Shalom members contribute to ongoing costs such as salaries, utilities, holiday celebrations and other expenses.

– Nehar Shalom depends on members to help organize, advertise, and set up for events; serve on committees; provide meals and other services to members who may need help.

– Every member brings a unique self, and enhances the core Nehar Shalom community. What are your gifts? What do you want to share?
