Child-Parent Educators

Itai Gal graduated from Hebrew College with a Master’s degree in Jewish Education in 2016, and from SUNY Purchase with a bachelor’s degree in music composition in 2006. He has taught at Jewish programs including Teva, Kesher Newton, Temple Beth Shalom of Needham, Dorshei Tzedek, and Eden Village Camp. Itai davens at Nehar Shalom, and is also involved with Moishe Kavod House. Outside of being a Jewish educator, Itai writes and plays music, enjoys all things that are outside, and is passionate about connecting Jews of all ages to tradition, spirituality, the Earth, themselves, and each other.

Hayley is entering her final year at Hebrew College Rabbinical School, and her fifth year as a member of the JP and Nehar Shalom Community. She is fiercely dedicated to creating Jewish spiritual and educational environments that are empowering, inclusive, and allow room for play. Hayley has taught children and families for the past 7 years in environments ranging from the Upper East Side of Manhattan to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. She loves finding ways to make Jewish prayer and values accessible through movement, play, and song.
